Lots a stuff

Sorry I wasn’t posting for a while. My computer had some problems but is alright now. So here we go!

Dozens of flights have been canceled in the mid west, the second storm since Christmas threatened to dump 20 inches of snow in the state of Colorado. I sure that much snow fell here in Washington. 8 more inches were expected to fall in Denver, which sets a record of snowiest x-mas with nearly 8 inches. United Airlines canceled 168 flights nation wide on Thursday mostly because of Denver weather, the second largest hit.

Pakistan opposition leader, Benazir Bhutto was killed Thursday by someone who shot her after a campaign rally then killed himself. At least 20 other people were shot and killed. Bhutto’s death made chaos across Pakistan. Angry supporters rioted in the southern port city of Karachi, firing shots at police, setting tires and cars on fire, and even burning a gas station. She had died in a hospital.

At a San Francisco zoo where a teenager was killed by a 350 pound Siberian tiger that escaped its cage, the director of the zoo had said today that the wall of the tigers pen was only 12 1/2 feet high- way below the recommended height of 16.4 feet. The tiger might have climbed out or jumped out of the open roof enclosure, perhaps by grabbing a ledge. How in the hell can a tiger jump 12 feet high is my question. Manuel Mollinedo said that the nearly 70 year old wall was 12 1/2 feet with a 33 foot “moat”. He also says that safety inspectors had examined the wall three years ago and they said nothing was wrong. The moat also does not contain water, and never did. But what does it matter that there is water in it. Tigers are some of the only cat swimmers and are the best at it. Why does it matter if there is water in it or not? On Wednesday he claimed the wall was 18 feet high and a 20 foot moat.
