A little 6 year old girl wrote an essay that won her 4 Hannah Montana concert tickets. The essay started with “my dad died in Iraq this year.” While you may think “oh poor girl”, think again. Her mother acknowledged to contest organizers that it wasn’t true. And now the girl from Texas may lose her tickets. This all began Friday with company officials surprising the girl at a club Libby Lu at a mall in Garland. The girl won a makeover contest that included a blonde Hannah Montana wig as well as the grand prize: airfare for 4 to Albany, New York, and 4 tickets to the sold-out concert January 9th. The mother had told the company officials that the girls father died in Iraq April 17th in a roadside bomb. Priscilla Ceballos told a news station in Dallas that Sgt. Jonathon Menjivar was the father. But the Department of Defense has no record of anyone with that name dying in Iraq. Robyn Caulfield said the mother has admitted to the description. Mary Drolet said the company is reviewing the matter and is thinking about taking away the girls tickets.

The death of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto seems not to have died from a gun shot wound. Apparently, she wasn’t even hit. A video tape of that day shows a man firing a pistol 3 times. But Bhutto was standing through her sunroof of her car, was not hit. People have now confirmed that Bhutto died from a skull fracture after bumping her head on a part of her car. After the gunfire, a suicide bomber ignited  explosives near Bhutto’s car.  Bhutto has apparently fell or ducked while the gun was being fired. When she fell or ducked, she hit her head on a lever connected to the cars sunroof. An Interior Ministry spokesman said when they looked, they noticed that the lever was covered with blood. Bhutto died just weeks before the election. Tell me what you think. Video

An endangered northern right whale was spotted of the coast of Florida Friday. The whale is only one of about 400 left of its species. The whale was spotted at about 8 am about 2 miles south of Ocean Avenue in Melbourne Beach. Julie Albert said quote”Shes not surfacing much.”Albert coordinates a right whale monitoring program for the Marine Resources council, an environmental group based in Palm Bay. Albert estimates the whale to be 40 feet long, and at noontime was as close as 200 to 300 yards offshore of Aquarina, swimming south and rolling over several times. Also, apparently was traveling with dolphins. Right whales got their name because the fishermen hunted the whale for its oil and called it the right whale to hunt because they were slow and easy to harpoon. The leading cause of right whale deaths are colliding with ships.
